MEMO

FROM: Steve McCollom SUBJECT: Company
Policies and Procedures
Crown n’ Things (“CNT”) has established the following
policies and procedures to ensure that employees know the standards of quality
and customer satisfaction that CNT feels are required in order to continue to
expand and achieve its desired financial success, as well as the success of its
employees.
Work Week: Personal issues, illness, etc.,
happen in all our lives. However, if you cannot come to work, or if you are
going to be late, you must call Steve or Lilian within thirty (30) minutes of
your scheduled start time to let us know. Not doing so will result in lost
wages and could lead to termination.
Lunch and Breaks: Not only are these
allowed by law, but tired employees are not productive.
Time Sheets: These are required to be
completed and turned in on Friday’s. Please record your lunch break. Also,
show the job location by customer name. If more than one location, show the
number of hours worked at each location.
Workplace: The workplace is generally the
customer’s home and has to be minimally disruptive to the customer, which means
maintaining a sense of order while working and cleaning up thoroughly before you
leave at the end of the day. Trash needs to be confined to trash
receptacles. Check with the customer regarding playing a radio and if okay,
keep the decibel level reasonable – to the customer.
Time is
money. Our work has to be done efficiently and correctly. Our job is
to provide what the customer wants. This means that whatever project we are
working on requires our full attention to ensure that all the components are
assembled correctly, without rework, and minimal material waste.
Tools and
Equipment: CNT’s tools and equipment represent a significant financial
investment by the company. If the Company’s tools are being used they need to
be handled safely, with care, kept clean, and returned to their respective
case/container. Company tools are to be stored in the Company trailer. NOT in
employees’ vehicles OR in their homes. Employees who have company tools must
inform the company in writing.
Safety: If you see a hazardous situation,
STOP, and notify Steve or Lilian immediately. Use safety equipment to protect
yourself as required. Follow instructions for the proper use of individual
power tools. Notify CNT immediately if a tool becomes damaged in any way. Do
not use damaged or defective tools.
Our relationship with our customers is important, as
important as the quality of our work and staying on schedule. Be courteous and
respectful at all times. In giving us their business, our customers are
entrusting us with one of their largest financial investments.
